Vintage Cheap, But Chic: Is That Velvet?

In this economy, it's harder than ever to look your best. There are pieces to splurge on but the fact is that most of us will look to vintage as a way to get a unique look for less. I'll be posting vintage finds for $20 and under. Every week you'll be treated to unique fashion finds for just a Jackson or less.

This week I'm into velvet:

Is That Velvet?

1. Vintage 70s Plum Purple Floral Quilted Velvet Purse Handbag from iKonic Vintage - $20 (Plus, 10% of that will be donated to cancer research through the end of October for THINK PINK!)
2. Natty 50s Vintage Black Striped Jacket-Great Details!-L from denisebrain - $14 (eBay current bid)
3. CHIC VINTAGE 60s GREEN FAILLE JACKET VELVET COLLAR S from thespectrum - $20
4. Vintage 60s Black Velvet Steampunk Hat wth Wide Bow from bontonvintage - $16.50

You are so right! Vintage is the way to go when trying to look your best for far less than what we would spend at the mall! Love your picks, I am eying that green jacket on etsy for sure!

The season for velvet is upon us!! I love it too and am in a velvet listing frenzy as we speak. Thanks so much for showing my black velvet hat - one of my faves!
