VFG Must See! **Sacrée Sacoche~ A Vintage Handbag Exhibition**

"Sacrée Sacoche" opened last Sunday at l'Espace Hortense - Le P'tit Bonheur in St Camille, Quebec and is open 7 days a week until June 29th 2008. Created by VFG member Joanne of GILO49 on eBay.

According to Joanne....

The exhibit covers 9 main themes: Handbag/purse history, Handmade/homecraft purses, Evening bags, The Deco years + (Mesh and beaded purses), Materials, the War years (WWI, WWII, Vietnam), Childhood, Souvenir purses (brought back from trips) and The Purse of the Future/The Future of the Purse (local artists were invited to produce purses for the exhibit).

Each large showcase is accompanied by a small cylinder showcase with a blown glass doll and a purse. These dolls are actually Christmas decorations (from TJ Max) and each one carries a purse. They play a role in the educational/preparational packages that were sent to local schools who will be visiting the exhibit.

We also produced an interactive "game" with guessing the contents of Queen Elizabeth's purse and the Dalai Lama's red monk bag.

Check out the slide show below and if you're in the area be sure to stop in and take a look!
