November: Vintage Vixen

With the world of vintage branching out and more and more sellers starting their own websites, we loved the idea of showing off some of our members beautiful websites and equally gorgeous stock. Each month we're going to dedicate a post showcasing some of our favorite finds from these sites. We're also going to feature a seller from each venue - Website, Auction Site and Online Mall Site - on the sidebar for the month.

We have so many wonderful sellers as part of the Vintage Fashion Guild and you can visit all of their sites here.

This month we're featuring Vintage Vixen. This website is literally chock full. It's almost impossible to digest all of it in one sitting! This is the kind of website where you can literally spend hours looking through - just like a real shop.

With the nip in the air just beginning, I jumped right into Coats & Outerwear. This gorgeous lipstick red 70's wrap coat (pictured) won me over immediately. Simple, classic and striking.

Be sure to check out include this cobalt blue swing style with black fur collar from the 50's, the color is just divine! One of my favorites is this unique reversible silk long lightweight coat with matching fabric cap. One side is a solid cream color with the other a beautiful and colorful butterfly print. Perhaps this one is a little more Spring than Fall, but either way it's a stunner.

Onto purses I ventured where I spotted this petite 50's bucket bag with an interesting free form style, this kitschy 60's bag with decoupaged turtles (pictured) and this fantastic brown and black geometric color block velour shoulderbag with turn-lock hardware.

Moving on to peek at the Designer & Couture section, I was impressed by the sheer number of items in this category alone (217!). Beauties like this 70's crimson suede Jean Muir jacket, this ethereal early 80's little black ruffle dress from Holly Harp, and this gorgeous floppy straw hat from Galanos (pictured) that is perfect for that mid winter vacation break to the Caribbean.

There are many, many more items to check out on vintagevixen.com and I suggest you get comfy and click around for awhile. You're sure to find a shopping cart full of must-haves for your vintage wardrobe and/or collection.

Also take a peek at our featured eBay seller North Star Vintage and our featured online Mall seller, This Old Purse at Ruby Lane in addition to Vintage Vixen. All three will be featured on the sidebar for the entire month of November.
