Doris Day spent her early years in show biz, and quickly became a style and musical icon, movie and TV star, Grammy and Golden Globe winner, and even an Academy Award Nominee. She was known for her vivacious personality, bubbly blonde looks, and "girl next door" style.
In her later years she retired to a quiet life, and has dedicated herself to animal rights through the Doris Day Animal Foundation http://www.ddaf.org/ and the Doris Day Animal League http://www.ddal.org/.
