1. When did you first get interested in vintage fashion & why?

I was born a textile junkie, and have always loved fashion, so the progression to vintage fashion was natural.
It would be hard to explain why, it's like breathing.

2. Do you regularly wear vintage?

Oh yes! My vintage wardrobe and jewelry items make me happy, they're my faithful touchstones.

3. Do you have a Holy Grail?

I have many. A Fortuny Delphos gown, in the original box. Any color will do!
A pair of Perugia shoes.
A Claire McCardell Popover, new old stock, with tag.
I could go on; a girl can dream, right?

4. If you could visit the atelier of any fashion designer (dead or alive), who would it be?

I enjoyed watching Karl, in the film "Lagerfeld Confidential", so I'd like to continue the tour.
Presumably, this fantasy would include complete access to Paraffection's haute couture ateliers d'art: Lesage, Desrues, Guillot, Maison LemariƩ, Maison Michel, Goossens, Montex and Massaro. More bang for the imaginary buck!

5. What do you see as the future of vintage?

Fashion in general has increasingly become a mainstream cultural obsession, showing no sign of abating.

Witness the stampedes to purchase the latest designer collaborations at fast fashion stores, the reality television fashion design competitions, and the blockbuster museum fashion shows. The vintage fashion market will continue to attract the public's interest, and filter through via contemporary style reinterpretations. Appreciation for surviving remarkable & authentic vintage pieces will perpetually fuel fascination and desire.

6. What is your favorite item in your shop?

I'm crazy for these tall Justin cowgirl boots:

Joules is a creative inspiration! I really enjoyed her interesting answers to these questions and will remember that any color will suffice if I find a Fortuny Delphos gown in the original box! : )
