Kensington Arts Day - As the limelight continues to sneak up on Kensington's warehouse galleries and textile studios, it would seem only fitting to dedicate an entire day exhibiting the area's unique underground style. The East Kensington Neighborhood Association holds an arts festival featuring everything from glass sculptures to vintage clothing by local designers.

Another Friday option is heading over to the Duchess Vintage fashion show at Beauty Bar. The 3rd annual Vintage Fashion and Costume Jewelry Mini-Convention will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, in The Keville Room, National Plastics Center, 210 Lancaster St., Leominster. View jewelry and fashions from the 19th and 20th centuries and have the opportunity to purchase unusual and unique items from times past. Admission is $5 (includes admission to the museum).
